Exterior

Venford cottage is in a secluded and tranquil setting in Exmoor National Park about 5 miles west of Dulverton.

The cottage is surrounded by woodland, fields and moorland.  There is a stream beside the drive leading to the cottage.  There are miles of bridleways, footpaths and hundreds of acres of common land within a few minutes walk from the cottage.

From the car park steps lead to a path to the front porch.   The entrance to the cottage is through a stable door into a slate floored hall.  One door off the hall leads into the downstairs large tiled shower room with washbasin and wc.   Another door off the hall leads into the kitchen and dining room with slate floors.

Breakfast bar/kitchen

The kitchen has a fridge, a freezer, a cooker, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is cutlery, utensils, crockery for five people, there are ample storage cupboards and a breakfast bar.

Dining room

The dining room has a table seating up to six, there is a radio-cassette and shelving with a comprehensive supply of books leaflets and maps.  

The door from the dining room leads into a small hall and through to the rear porch which has a Sheila Maid above the oil fired boiler with shelving.  
 
Another door leads in to the sitting room, with wood flooring, a woodburner, 2 settees, a TV and DVD.  There are various games stored in a cupboard beside the fireplace.

Sitting room

Another door leads to the carpeted stairs.  From the landing doors leads off to the 3 separate bedrooms a separate bathroom with washbasin and wc.  One bedroom has a king sized bed, another has twin beds, the third has a single bed.  All bedrooms are carpeted with bedside lamps, chairs, wardrobes or storage wardrobes.
